Sam's Golf Day Success
Well last Friday was my golf day and I must say it was a huge success. There was a huge turnout (even bigger than last year), which saw over 70 teams battle out for the mighty top prize on the big prize table. Fortunately the weather was kind and we only saw 1 shower throughout the whole day, which only lasted a couple of minutes. I must say a huge thank you to the green keepers for getting the course in the way it is playing at the minute I do believe it is the best in the area at the moment.
The day consisted of a Better Ball stableford over 18 holes with nearest the pins, and regulation prizes. The summerhouse was also a success allowing participants to refresh and energize with the help of our lovely lady helpers. I must also say thank you to the famous Eddie and Norma Knape for being the starters on the day providing a warm welcome.
After the golf had finished we had a prize presentation followed by the raffle and then the famous auction, which was another huge success with a cracking atmosphere and full clubhouse. Everyone left the room with a huge smile on their face, as it was a truly awesome day!

Choose a club that makes all the right noises
Apparently, there are cracker companies who research the snap their crackers make when broken in half. Car makers research the most luxurious door-closing 'thunk'.
As for golf equipment, sound is even more important. Club engineers believe some 90% of our perception of feel is down to impact sound. Consequently, the biggest companies now use sophisticated computer programs to 'design' the acoustics of the clubheads you'll find in our shop, in a similar way to how they engineer performance.
Don't be too quick to dismiss the sound a club makes. It's hard to gain confidence with a muffled driver, or a clicky putter. A pleasing sound is of course a subjective thing, so the best way to find that good tone is to test a variety. Whether you need a booming driver or a buttery wedge, we have a great range of options - one of which will be sure to play the right tune for you. Click here to tell us what you are looking for.
