Well it only took Dave Mellor 1 round to see the advantage of having a distance measuring device. Last week Dave came into the shop to purchase a brand new SkyCaddie Watch. This enabled him to know how far he hits his shots, and give him the confidence to commit to the shot leading to more greens hit and lower scores. Then, on Monday in the Centenary plate he won the fist major of the year. Now that's money well spent if you ask me.
Do you have a distance measuring device?
We now have a bigger range than ever! This week we have become an official stockist of Garmin and we also have the whole SkyCaddie range.
These devices start from £130 and come in a ray of colours and styles to suit you.
- Do you know how far you hit your 7 iron?
- Did you know 90% of the distance markers on the course are incorrect?
- Do you ever wonder how far away it is to a stream or ditch?
If you fit into this category, then now's the time to come and try a device and see what a difference it makes.
This month we will offer a FREE gapping session with every device purchased (Worth £30 !)
Special Arrival this Week
Now I'm sure we have all been watching Jason Day lately dominate the Players Championship and maintain his world number 1 spot. Have any of you noticed the putter he's been using? The TaylorMade Daddy Long Legs itty bitty in red! This was designed just for him from a request he randomly made.
Well TaylorMade have nominated a small amount to each region, and we have fortunately managed to get our hands on 2! These putters will be rare and be in demand.

So, another weekend, another win for Australia's Jason Day, who cruised to a four-stroke victory at Sawgrass to take golf's unofficial 'fifth Major' - the Players Championship.
We say 'cruised' but that doesn't necessarily tell the full story. Despite reaching the halfway point in a record 129 blows, it was tough going thereafter with the world number one even treating us to a few duffed chips and a four-putt.
However, the 28-year-old was not to be denied, and reminded everyone of his class and mental toughness when he completed the back nine in 33, just when he was starting to look vulnerable. Remind you of anyone?
Ah yes, Tiger Woods, who's been back in the news this week after attending Congressional Country Club for the Quicken Loans National media day.
As part of a promotional stunt for a charitable effort from his tournament's title sponsor, he took to the tee on the par-3 10th - and dunked three efforts into the water.
It would appear Woods is still a long way off making a competitive return to action. For now, all we can do is sit back and enjoy the Jason Day Show - there would seem to be a few more of them on the way. It's now seven wins in 17 starts by the way, impressive stuff.
